Walk into our showroom and you will see hundreds of denim swatches. Picking the right one starts with answering three questions.
1. How heavy?
Denim is measured in ounces per square yard. Lighter weights wear cooler; heavier weights hold their shape and last longer.
- 9 oz & under: Summer denim, easy-wear shorts and skirts.
- 10–12 oz: All-season jeans and jackets, the everyday workhorse.
- 13–14.5 oz: Workwear, premium jackets, and structured silhouettes.
2. Stretch or rigid?
Comfort stretch (1–2% spandex) is the default for women fits today. High-recovery blends are a must for skinny and high-waist programs to stop knee bagging. Rigid 100% cotton remains the choice for selvedge and heritage lines.
3. Eco profile
We stock organic cotton, post-consumer recycled blends, and BCI-traceable conventional denim. If sustainability is on your hangtag, ask for the certificate file when you sample.
Send the look you are after — or even just a photo of a pair you love — and our fabric team will pull 3–5 swatches that match the hand and price target.
